Iowa State Workforce Partners


The Ticket to Work provides employment supports to Social Security Disability Insurance and SSI beneficiaries between the ages of 18-65. All of Iowa's workforce centers are Social Security Administration approved Employment Networks under the Ticket to Work program. Some of the Employment Services offered include at the workforce centers for Ticket holders incluce:

  • career assessments,

  • skills testing,

  • employment workshops,

  • resume development,

  • application and interviewing tips,

  • job postings and labor exchange services,

  • assistive technology at workforce centers,

  • computer classes or tutorials available, 

  • job training programs for eligible applicants.


Job seekers with a disability are invited to the workforce centers throughout Iowa and identify yourself as having Social Security benefits or a ticket when you come to the workforce center. Ticket to Work is one of many work incentives offered through Social Security. For information about additional work incentives, visit www.iowawipa.org.
